On 10th June we hosted our Engineer of the Year Awards for Year 1 and Year 2 students across our Engineering T Level, BTEC AAQ and Level 2 courses. With over 60 learners in attendance, the event was a valuable opportunity to recognise the incredible achievements of our students.
From academic success and workshop skills to CAD expertise and over 35 hours of industry visits and guest talks, our students have truly excelled this year. Eight standout students were shortlisted from an impressive pool of nominees, which was no easy task. They are pictured receiving their awards from their teachers, Phil Jagger and Rohan Hibbert.
A huge congratulations to our winner, Kacper Wickzkowski, whose passion, dedication, and support for both peers and the department have been exceptional.
Andy Pritchard, Assistant Principal, attended the event and commented:
“This was a well-deserved celebration of talent, hard work, and the future of engineering; well done to all involved! Additionally, it was a great opportunity to say goodbye to our Year 2 students, and we wish them all the best as they embark on their next steps towards their promising careers.”
