Student Council fundraise for Save The Children Christmas Jumper Day

Our Student Council has been busy today collecting donations for Save the Children Christmas Jumper Day fundraiser. Arthur the College dog has also been proudly wearing his jumper. On Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th of June, 32 first-year students participated in a social action project with the Marine Conservation Society. The first day saw students learn about marine pollution and how to lead and coordinate a beach clean, before taking part in their own beach clean in the afternoon. Culinary Skills Diploma Students Bake Sale Fundraiser For Macmillan

Last week, our Level 2 Diploma in Culinary Skills students decided to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and chose to do this by having a bake sale. They produced the cakes in their lessons and then sold them in the College refectory. Earlier this month, Bexhill College Creative Arts teaching assistant Gabe Jones was selected to represent East Sussex Scouts at the Coronation of King Charles III. Having been through the different levels of the Scouting Association his entire life, Gabe started as a Beaver and progressed to an adult leader when he turned 18. Earlier today, Bexhill College was visited by the Bexhill Fairtrade Town Steering Group. They are an organisation that manage and promote all things Fairtrade in Bexhill. The group came into the College today to sell Fairtrade items in the Refectory.
