Work-Related Learning: Martin Styring Collects Cheque from Bexhill College Students for Chestnut Tree House Charity

Bexhill College hosted a selection of memorable events for Unit 4 Managing a Business Event, which successfully raised an impressive £2749.61 for the Chestnut Tree House Charity. Martin Styring, advocate for charitable causes, visited the college to collect the generous donation.

The fundraising event showcased the creativity and dedication of Bexhill College students, who organised a series of engaging activities to rally support for the Chestnut Tree House Charity. Highlights of the event included a thrilling charity hockey match, an entertaining bingo night, and delectable treats such as iced coffees, milkshakes, and bake sales.

With the College’s collective efforts, the students organised a captivating tombola, attracting participants with exciting prizes and contributing to the overall fundraising success.

Martin Styring expressed his gratitude to the students and the college for their hard work and commitment to the cause. He acknowledged their efforts in making a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families supported by the Chestnut Tree House Charity. “It’s been an absolute pleasure working with you, the College as a whole, and your students again. Thank you for all your support. And what a fantastic performance by the 7 groups! Right result!!! Hopefully the experience will have given the students a great experience and they will go on to do amazing things with their careers and philanthropic desires.”

Beck Brann, Course Lead for Vocational Business praised the students for their exceptional teamwork, creativity, and dedication. She stated, “The students have shown tremendous initiative and drive in organizing this event. Their commitment to making a difference in the community is truly inspiring. We are proud of their achievements and grateful to everyone who supported the event.”
