Work Related Learning – A Level Philosophy Student has article published in ‘Philosophy Now’ Magazine

As part of our work-related learning programme at Bexhill Sixth Form College, A-level Philosophy and Religious Studies students successfully, wrote, edited, and produced articles for the nationally recognised philosophy magazine, ‘Philosophy Now’. A selection were put forward to the editor for consideration and Hugh Hamilton’s article, titled ‘God’s Silence on TV’ was chosen for their Mar/Apr edition. Students had to meet a strict criteria to be considered. The editor commented that Hugh produced “a good description of the current situation regarding TV shows about God”.

When asked about what it meant to have his article published Hugh said “I’m really pleased. It’s quite exciting to be able to buy something off a shelf that has your own work inside it. It’s quite interesting to know that other people have read your work and thought it was interesting and so far from people that have read it I’ve heard quite positive reviews. It’s an exciting opportunity”.

Hugh’s article is published both on their website, under the film/tv articles, as well as in the physical magazine which goes to schools, libraries, clubs, and retailers across the country. You can check out the article for yourself by clicking on the link below.
