Our first year Animal Management students recently took part in a trip to Drusillas which tied into one of their units of work. The students completed their live welfare appraisals for their practical animal husbandry unit. They were also treated to a fantastic talk and Q&A from Head Zoo Keeper Gemma (as shown in the pictures). Overall it was a fantastic day and the students benefitted from learning what a ‘day in the life’ of a zoo keeper looks like.
