Nine Vicious (also known as Treyvion Deronta Echols) is an American rapper signed to Young Thug’s record label YSL. For Nothing is his most recent album and the reason for his latest tour that was kicked off in Europe in September at Aux London in partnership with GoToBeat.
The show started with a DJ set featuring an opening performance from UK underground artist Sinn6r whose mixture of gritty sounds and intense stage presence energised the crowd.
But it was Nine Vicious who really captured the stage, electrifying the audience with an almost non-stop set, giving the crowd no time to rest.
The energy from the audience was other worldly compared to any concerts I’ve been to in the past. Every lyric was being shouted back from the crowd word for word throughout the entire set and the whole crowd perfectly matched Nine’s lively and chaotic energy on stage.
By the end of the show Nine Vicious had ripped through a 22-song set, showcasing his raw aggressive vocals, emotionally charged lyrics, and bass heavy distorted instrumentals. His set included the majority of the fan favourites such as “Studio Addict”, “Slime Bidness”, “Rip KEED” and “Chaos”.
All around I’d say the presence Nine Vicious had on stage is amongst one of the greatest I’ve seen to date. The track list was perfect, the crowd was amazing, and of course the star of the show Nine Vicious was even better than I could’ve hoped.
