T Level Health students Evie and Robyn have had the fantastic opportunity to complete a work placement with the maternity team at the Conquest Hospital in Hastings. The girls are currently supporting new mothers and learning the skills needed to work in the maternity unit. They are also observing caesarean sections in the operating theatres which is a very special and memorable event. Evie and Robyn have been supported during their placement by Maternity Support Worker Pauline Parks and Nursery Support Worker Mandy Parsons.
We are extremely proud of our students as this week they were asked to present at the National Celebration of Support Workers event for NHS England where they spoke confidently about the impact and value of work placement in supporting their career aspirations and progression to university-level training.
