Earlier this week, Bexhill College alumnus Natalie Greenall visited our A Level Psychology students regarding their work-related learning projects. Natalie is the founder of Believe in You Teens, a business that works with local schools and children to promote good psychological health and wellbeing.
For their project, our students were asked by Natalie to design and develop an activity that would identify and then improve someone’s emotional, social or stress-related issue. By applying their knowledge of mental health conditions, the students were required to develop their activity in a way that would help children open up and communicate their feelings with Natalie.
The submissions were judged by Natalie as an employer based on what could be used in her day-to-day practice and all of the students came up with such outstanding ideas that Natalie decided to give three students awards for their hard work and creative thinking. The winning students were asked to present their ideas to Natalie, who also gave an in-depth talk about using Psychology in her day-to-day job as part of the ceremony.
