Bexhill College in association with Chelsea Football Club Foundation and in partnership with Eastbourne Borough Football Club returned to league action with an excellent 6-1 away win at K Sports in the National League Alliance.
Following the festive break, Eastbourne were quickly on the front foot in difficult conditions with Arthur Karapetyan heading home from a Fletcher Holman free-kick midway through the first half to take a 1-0 lead into half-time.
Eastbourne quickly took control of the 2nd half with the wind at their backs with Ole Peterson finishing neatly from a Holman corner before Holman secured the points with a stunning free-kick from fully 35 yards. Holman got his 2nd following a good run before K Sports scored a consolation goal from a corner.
Ryan Moir restored the 5-goal advantage scoring direct from a corner before Luka Martinaj concluded the scoring with another long-range strike.
Manager Sean Noble commented “In difficult conditions and with several changes, the players were excellent producing a battling and ruthless display. The most pleasing aspect of the performance was the togetherness of the team and battling aspects of the game which was the difference in gaining victory against a good K Sports team.”
