Our A Level Geography students were joined by Laura Stronge from the Environment Agency (EA). Laura discussed with students the different working opportunities which can be explored with a background in Geography. Laura has had an interesting and varied career after graduating Queen’s University with a BSc Geography, and discussed her work in Network Rail, teaching and now the EA.
She is currently working on the delivery of the Eastbourne-Pevensey Coastal Management Scheme, a crucial engineering project designed to help save our coastline from flooding over the next century. This is a key case study for our students to explore. This is also relevant to many staff and students’ lives here at Bexhill College.
