First-year Level 3 Extended Diploma protective service group recently travelled to Longmoor Military Training Camp, where they took part in a day of activities that tested their teamwork, leadership, and physical fitness. The activities included providing medical support to injured casualties, paintballing, a fitness circuit, and exploring different types of explosives as well as the equipment used to detect these explosives. Each of the 8 stations were led by specialist army personnel, which also gave the students the opportunity to speak to and get advice from members of the force and try on specialist equipment used in the army. The students applied themselves superbly throughout the day and gained valuable insights into the skills needed to become a military member.
