Last week, as part of our cross-college Tutorial programme, all 2nd year students had Gambling Awareness sessions with Gamcare. The students discovered how gambling affects the brain, relationships, and factors to be aware of. This information was delivered through videos, discussions, and first-hand, real-life experience of gambling addiction. When asked what they enjoyed most about the session, a student said “It was interesting because there’s so much science behind it with the brain… it is crazy! I enjoyed that bit the most”.
