Last week, eight of our aspiring Oxford students visited St John’s College at the University of Oxford for 2-days of intensive support and preparation.
Students were introduced to applying to Oxford, including a timeline and the collegiate system; they were taken on tours around St John’s College, Weston Library, Bodleian Library, and St Anne’s College; and took part in a personal statement workshop and mock interviews based on their subject interests.
The students were pushed outside of their comfort zone on several occasions to develop their communication, public speaking, and critical thinking skills. The students were commended by the staff at Oxford for their positive engagement and can-do attitude!
