On Wednesday 3rd May 2023, a group of our Engineering students visited Kurt J. Lesker, a highly renowned company that specializes in manufacturing vacuum chambers for a variety of fields, including scientific research. During the visit, the company kindly gave us a tour of their exceptional facilities and organised an engaging competition with the students. To our delight, two of our students, Daniel Dale and James Dine, broke the record by completing the task nearly four minutes faster than any other college group that had visited before.
The primary goal of the trip was to introduce the students to a real-world engineering company and inspire their interest in the field. Thank you to the Kurt J Lesker company for allowing us the opportunity to visit.
